Governors

Welcome to the governors’ pages of the school website. Here you can find out who the school governors are, what they do, read a message from the Chair and also find out how to become a school governor.

If you would like more information on any aspect of school governance or are interested in becoming a governor yourself, please email SRSFgovernors@welearn365.com

In accordance with the Statutory Guidance from the Department for Education, our Governing Body completed a restructure to enable the appointment of people on the basis of the skills they could bring.  As a result, a new Instrument of Governance was agreed.

The Governing Body consists of the Executive Head, a staff governor, Foundation governors, Parent governors, Co-opted governors and a Local Authority governor.

A governor's term of office is usually four years.  Our Governing Body also has Associate Members who are not governors, are not able to vote at full Governing Body meetings but are entitled to attend and to receive the papers for them.  Associate members are invited to participate in matters relevant to the skills they bring and are usually given the right to vote on some or all matters raised at those meetings.

The governors are also supported by a specialist clerk.
