Alcester Roman Heritage Museum

To complement their study of 'The Romans' both Ruby & Emerald classes visited the Alcester Roman Heritage Museum where they met a Roman soldier, shopped as the Romans and learnt a great deal about the Roman way of life.

Ava, ‘I loved learning that the ‘ester’ in place names means Romans used to live there. Places like Alcester, Cirencester, Colchester and Manchester.’

Ruben-James, ‘I enjoyed trying on a Roman soldier’s gear.’

Esme, ‘We learnt about the Roman fort in Alcester on Primrose Hill.’

Elke, ‘I liked the amazing facts about the Romans and their pottery.’

Rico, ‘I liked spending money in the gift shop and working out my change.’

Eve, ‘I like Roman school.’

Ollie, ‘I enjoyed learning about all the different tools that soldiers used.’
